Talking to mothers and daughters about mothers and daughters  can be complicated, can be inspirational and can be difficult.  There is one theme that runs through our conversations and that is "change".  Whether someone chooses to become a mother or maybe it was a surprise, life changes!

My  first pregnancy changed my life forever! I loved becoming a mother and could not wait to hold my first born in my arms. Learning to be a first time mother was a big challenge and I worried for many years wondering if I was ruining her for life.  I'm happy to say she and her siblings are great and the joys of my life. They are all grown and my husband of 52 years and myself have been empty nesters for 17 yrs.  We've retired,  sold our home in Houston, moved to the lake, and are pastoring a church.

Life just keeps changing!  Finding  a new interest, learning something new  and  challenging can be scary.  Social Media is a new world for me to  navigate, and although it's not my comfort zone, I will conquer.

There are changes we choose so that life is better and safer for ourselves and our children, and then there are are changes you have no idea are coming,

Changes we choose:

  • Change your hair color

  • Change your address

  • Change your TV channel

  • Change your shoes

  • Change your underwear

  • Change your route to work

  • Change your mindset

  • Change your direction

  • Change your attitude

  • Change your focus

Changes life hands us:

  • Divorce and remarriage

  • Death of a loved one

  • Sickness and health problems

  • Alcohol and Drug addictions

  • Mental health problem

  • Financial setbacks

During our podcast episodes we are just having conversations with mothers and daughters about their stories, journeys and honest discussions on how others navigate these changes that happen.

We celebrate our journey of being a woman and mother and talk about the challenges and joys we face daily.  This is a community where generations come together to listen, grow, and sometimes change our perspectives .

Crying and laughing our way through some difficult conversations will help others glean wisdom and hopefully find courage to make changes.

Finding the paths that lead to change may only require a "pivot”- small change in the way in which one does something. But sometimes change requires a complete “about face"!  Now if we pivot a little, enough times, we will find that we have eventually arrived at an about face.
